Where thread
becomes form.

The studio of Limor – suspended textile sculptures, three-dimensional thread work and woven forms. Contemporary art in the language of thread.

"I work the way a life is lived – thread by thread. Each piece holds the weight of the hand that made it, suspended somewhere between pattern, cloth and sculpture."

02 – The Artist

A personal language,
woven over a lifetime.

Limor builds her work at the meeting point of craft and contemporary art – translating the disciplines of a lifetime into fibre, pattern and form.

Her practice moves fluidly between disciplines: three-dimensional garment patterns, work of the hands and the soil, classical weaving on the loom, and the dyeing of wool threads by hand. Out of these she has developed a singular, cross-dimensional visual language – at once architectural and intimate.

Working from her studio, Limor creates pieces for private collectors and interior architects across the world, each one a quiet negotiation between the hand, the loom and the wall.

03 – In the Studio

From raw fibre
to finished form

Dyeing yarn
i.

Dyeing the thread

Every work begins with colour. Wool and linen are hand-dyed in small batches, so no two threads, and no two pieces, are ever quite alike.

Weaving on the loom
ii.

Weaving & building

On the loom, warp and weft become surface. Layer by layer, the flat plane is coaxed into something dimensional, tactile and alive.

Sculpting form
iii.

Shaping the form

Finally the textile leaves the wall. Wire, structure and thread are sculpted into freestanding works that hold their own architecture.

04 – Commissions

A piece made for your space.

Limor works closely with collectors and interior architects to create singular textile works – scaled, coloured and composed for a specific wall, room or building. Every commission begins with a conversation.
